My life. I love it, but it is constantly amusing. Like today, for example: my favorite part of the day was taking my four year old daughter and her friend, Luke, to Pre-K.
We listen to "Snakes aren't Slimy" and other funny children's songs and they laugh. My daughter says to Luke, "Luke, today I'll be the singer and you be the laugher. No, I'll be the dancer and you be the singer.
Oh, never mind, I'll sing." So she sings and Luke cooperates by mustering up the heartiest laugh he could. I drop them off at school, late of course, and they yell "chicken poop" and laugh and laugh.
After that, I head to the dentist and look forward to listening to my book on tape (book club is in two days)....I can't find it! Oh man, come on, I can't lose this! What did my daughter do with it? I looked everywhere.
Now I'm going to have to buy a new book for the friend I borrowed it from. Things are piling up. Yesterday I got a speeding ticket for $72. My daughter was so gracious to the police officer.
I could take a lesson or two from her as I grit my teeth. Now, the fifth of the ten CD's is missing! Look, look, it has to be here...Oh, wait! I've got it! It was wedged between the Postal Service cd and The Black Crows cd left in my car by my 20 year old son when he was riding with me this summer.
Whew! Now, if I can keep Dr. Laura Schlessinger's book, "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" out of the hands of
my
husband, all will be well for another day.
