Unaffiliated voters won't receive mail-in ballot

Unaffiliated voters who applied for a Permanent Mail-In Ballot, will not receive a ballot for the Primary Election due to their "unaffiliated" voter status. However, unaffiliated voters may vote in the Primary Election if they affiliate with a major party on or before Primary Election Day.

Unaffiliated voters may choose one of the following options in order to vote in the Primary Election:

1. Visit any of the five Early Voting sites from Aug. 4-8 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and affiliate with a major political party. Early Voting sites are listed online at DouglasVotes.com.

2. Visit DouglasVotes.com to find their assigned polling site for Primary Election Day, Aug. 12 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. They will need to affiliate with a major political party.

For more information on the 2008 Election, please visit www.DouglasVotes.com or contact the Elections Department at 303.660.7444.
