New York City, New York - June 24, 2008 - Ponderosa High School Senior, Eliza Ohman, received the highest honor at the Dance Educators of America (DEA) Nationals competition in New York City.
The most elite dancers from all over the country travel to New York to compete at DEA Nationals. Ms. Ohman was awarded Senior High Score for her solo performance choreographed by Corina Kinnear, also an accomplished dancer from Parker.
Prior to Nationals, Ms. Ohman received several awards at DEA's Regional competition in Denver this past Spring, which included a scholarship to compete at Nationals in New York. Eliza has been a student and a teacher at Parker Dance Academy for the past 11 years. Dance Educators of America is a not for profit organization promoting dance education for all ages.
