Town of Parker
on 6/25/2008
Bring the family and join your neighbors at Let Freedom Sing 2008, a celebration of our country's independence presented by the town.
Bring blankets or lawn chairs and prepare to enjoy plenty of family fun including a bounce house, backyard slide, face painters, balloon artist, kids' games and a cash cube full of coupons from your favorite stores and restaurants.
Let Freedom Sing 2008 will be conveniently located next to Town Hall, 20120 E. Mainstreet, in Parker. Many Parker residents can walk to the show, but parking and handicap parking will be available at two locations: the lot west of Town Hall and also at the LDS Church lot on the east side of Town Hall.
Admission is free, parking is $5. Enjoy live musical entertainment starting at 6 p.m. when Take 2 plays all your favorite pop and rock hits, and at 8 p.m. when Rocky Mountain Brassworks' performs rousing Sousa marches and patriotic tunes.
The excitement will grow as the evening is concluded with the long-awaited fireworks display, commemorating the land of the free with a bang! Event-goers are welcome to bring a picnic, but concessions will be provided including pizza, burgers, BBQ, kettle corn, ice cream and other snacks.
No alcohol will be sold or permitted at the event. Pine Drive will be closed from Mainstreet to Summerset starting at 8:45 p.m. for the public's protection from the fireworks display shot from the Pine Drive Curve. For more information, call 303-841-0353 or check the town's Web site at www.parkeronline.org.
A special thank you to our sponsors and volunteer groups: Anthology/Pivotal Group, Wells Fargo, Bellco Credit Union, The Parker Chronicle, The Parker Arts Council, FirstBank of Parker, Life Style Kitchen and Bath, IREA, Brother's BBQ, Wal-Mart, Spradlin Printing, Richie's Express Carwash, and the Church of Latter Day Saints.
These organizations help make this annual event possible for the town.
