Bring your friends for a great time with more than fifteen wine vendors, light snacks and an informal social atmosphere featuring some good vintages for a good cause.
Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Purchase advance tickets from Highlands WineSeller, sponsor of the event. Credit card orders can be phoned in to Trisha at 720-889-9463, or come into the store at the NE corner of Quebec and Lincoln Avenue (behind Walgreens) in Highlands Ranch.
This is the first off-premises wine tasting for Highlands WineSeller, and they are very proud to bring this type of event to the South Denver area, and to do it for a cause as worthy as Double Angel Foundation. Likewise, the Foundation is very pleased to be the recipient of the proceeds from the evening.
Double Angel Foundation was formed in 2000 after two young baseball-loving boys, Dillon and Logan Dixey, drowned in Lake Powell after being exposed to carbon monoxide while swimming off the back of a houseboat. From such an unimaginable tragedy came triumph when the Double Angel Ballpark, a state-of-the-art baseball complex in Parker built entirely from donations, opened in 2006. Dillon and Logan's spirit lives in the more than 800 games and activities played at the park in 2008. The non-profit organization also works diligently to raise awareness of the danger of carbon monoxide in boats, and is currently working with the Colorado state legislature to require warnings in all registered boats. Fundraising efforts continue to maintain and provide upgrades to the ballpark.
