Chamber cancels Taste/Expo in Parker

On Tuesday, August 19th with just barely more than 3 weeks to go before the annual Taste of Parker and Parker Community Expo were scheduled to take place on September 13th, the Chamber Board of Directors voted to cancel the Taste and Expo citing cost and participation considerations.

The cancellation came as a complete surprise to businesses that had signed up for the event, some of whom had already spent hundreds of dollars for event related marketing materials, as well many businesses who were planning on signing up for the event after the Chamber extended the registration deadline.

The 2008 event was slated to be held at the Circuit City parking lot on the north-west corner of Parker Road and Lincoln.

The Parker Chamber of Commerce is an organization comprised of member businesses.
