Participate in Aurora's own live version of TV's "Antiques Roadshow" at the Aurora Museum Foundation's Antique Appraisal Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Aurora History Museum, 15051 E. Alameda Parkway.
Since the Antique Appraisal Fair began in 2001, countless items have passed before the careful eye of appraisers.
Paintings, jewelry and glassware are often found to have been created by renowned artists and have a value well beyond the expectations of the owner, while other items may be more common.
On Sept. 27, bring dishes, jewelry, artwork, dolls, coins and other antiques and collectibles to be evaluated by local appraisers.
The cost is $5 per item, and each participant is limited to five items. All proceeds benefit the Aurora History Museum. Call 303-739-6705 to schedule an appointment by noon Sept. 26.
