Parker Traditions Warm the Hearts of Thousands
Contributed by: MARGARET STRNAD on 12/9/2006

Mainstreet Parker was the place to be on Saturday, December 9. The weather was perfect, the Carriage and Stagecoach Parade was a real crowd pleaser and the entertainment and tree lighting ceremony in O'Brien Park was glorious. Kudos to the Town Council, the Chamber, all the merchants, volunteers and departments associated with this wonderful Christmas event. The Holidays in Parker would not be complete without this spectacular tradition. I for one, hope it never ends.

Great photographs Margaret! I only wish the parade could have been better staged. On a few occasions we had to wait 10 minutes or so for the next horses to appear.
