My Dear "Floozies", It is with sadness and regret that I must cancel my appointment to attend your High Tea in my honor during my 80th Birthday year celebration. I send you my deepest regards and lasting friendship.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor Mountbatten, H.M. Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Alas, the party must go on and a "Floozie" of a good time was had by all at the Holiday Tea in the home of Red Hatter, Tina the Terriffic. The aroma of a variety of tempting teas, the savory cucumber and salmon tea sandwiches, filo with spinach dip, puff pastry with crab, tortillas with salsa, pimento and cream cheese on rye, the sweetness of miniature cheesecakes, banana cream and cherry tarts, almond meringue cookies, peanut butter and chocolate truffles, lemon, cranberry and poppy seed scones with lemon curd and orange marmalade all added to the waistlines of our Happy High Tea Attendees.
Favors of Knutcrackers, purple ornaments, red shoes and candy added to the fun of the festive "Floozies". Following a game of Red Hat Bingo, the "Floozies" joined in the celebration of the Parker Tree Lighting ceremony in O'Brien Park.
