Floozies savor strawberries in white chocolate
Contributed by: MARGARET STRNAD on 12/8/2007

Tina the Terrific was once again the hostess for the annual December High Tea to celebrate the Christmas season. This has become one of the most popular events for the 'Floozies' Red Hat chapter in Parker.
Exotic presentation brought out the flavor and aroma of the delectable delights prepared ever so lovingly by the hostess.
Smoked salmon canapes, cucumber and sprouts sandwiches, hazelnut truffles and cakes, miniature cherry cheesecakes, mom's homemade purple and red cream mints, coconut shells filled with lemon curd, scones with peach jam and clotted cream and a 'Floozie' favorite, luscious strawberries dipped in white chocolate.
The elegance of the service was exceeded only by the flavors of the teas. From the proper Earl Grey to the unique Nutcracker Sweet Holiday tea, sprinkeld with blends of mandarin orange, raspberry and wild berry, it was difficult to make a selection. The dilemma was solved to the satisfaction of everyone by simply trying all the flavors presented.
Humorous stories and family Holiday traditions were shared and the High Tea ended with an exchange of Christmas tree ornaments.
