Easter tradition goes on despite high egg prices
Contributed by: Joe McDaniel on 3/22/2008

Avery Ancell (6-1/2) of Aurora came to Parker to visit her grandparents, Joe and Jan McDaniel, for the traditional Easter egg hunt and coloring. At $1.80 or more per dozen, the price of eggs is up this year, so plastic eggs were substituted for the real thing for the hunt, as a cost-cutting measure.

But when it comes to dying boiled eggs, the real goods were used. Several dozen boiled eggs were used to create stunning works of art. Though not quite Faberge quality, they were still pretty good. Several layers of the Rocky Mountain News were spread over the kitchen table, including a recent edition of YourHub.com, to protect the wood service.

I'm glad YourHub.com could assist in your egg-dyeing escapades, Joe. Cute pics.
