Sweet Halloween event at Chaparral
Contributed by: Mackenzie Goeschel on 10/30/2007

Chaparral High School's Seventh Annual Sweet Street event was held this past Saturday night, Oct. 27.

Before the event began, fifty Chaparral students representing twelve different clubs spent seven hours decorating and preparing for the event.

There were over five hundred people in attendance and over four hundred and fifty dollars was raised for our Unified Basketball Team.

"Setting up for the event took so much time and effort, it was great to see all the clubs come together to help out DECA and put on a spectacular event. And although the preparations were time consuming, it was all worth it when the trick-or-treaters arrived all dress up and left with smiles from ear to ear," said Katie Hartwig, Chaparral DECA officer.

Just as in years past, this event was a huge success and its tradition will be carried on for years to come.
