I caught my guy in a pool (not a lake)

I was a young naive 18 year old when I moved to the Big City to live with my sister in an apartment. Every day I would relax by the pool and every evening I would swim laps. One evening, there was a bunch of guys hanging out at the pool. I mustered up the strength (I was pretty shy back then) and went to the pool anyway, not letting this group of guys intimidate me out of swimming my evening laps. Well, while swimming, I'd take breaks and I could hear them whistling at me and asking to me get out of the pool so they could see my body. (Remember... I was 18 and actually had a body to look at back then). Then I heard a male voice say, "You guys, leave her alone." And they quit bugging me. As I left the pool area, I had to walk past this crowd of guys and I happened to look into the crowd and locked eyes with this one male in particular and he winked at me. The next day, he showed up at the pool alone and apologized for the behaviour of his buddies the night before. He showed up at the pool every day thereafter. Each day, he would set up his chair far from me, but whenever he'd take a dip in the pool, he would end up a few chairs closer to me until finally we were close enough to talk. We'd talk and talk. This went on for a few weeks, then one day when I decided to jump in and cool off, so did he. Next thing I knew, he planted a gold ol kiss on me. I literally knew the day I met him that he was the one I'd marry "some day". We got engaged 6 months later, then married 3 years later and now have been married 18 years. We are best friends and I look forward to all the years still ahead for us.
