April 5-6, 2008 Dance Educators of America (DEA) Dance Competition - Denver, Colorado. Parker Dance Academy participated in the nationally well known DEA dance competition in Denver this past weekend. Once again, Parker Dance proved to be a dance company to be reckoned with. Their dancers were dominant in every category. Starting with Small Fry division, Nicole Britt, only six years old, took home not only a gold medal for 1 st place high score for her division, but also a
Rising Star award and a full scholarship to Nationals coming this July. Parker Dance is especially proud of the Reese sisters, Lizzie and Kat, Teen division. Between the two of them they walked away with four platinum medals, several gold medals,
Innovative Choreography award, 1 st Place High Score Duet and a full DEA ballet scholarship. Other special honors received by Parker Dance Academy included, but not limited to,

Fabulous Feet just to name a few. In total, Parker Dance Academy received five Silver, 24 Gold and 17 Platinum Medals, along with several scholarships to the DEA Nationals in July 2008. Outstanding Choreography. With 190 entries, Henry Graham's choreography was unmatched by any other studio that participated in this highly recognized and respected dance competition. Mr. Graham joined Parker Dance Academy in the beginning of 2008. Henry Graham has proven that with his creativity and artistic integrity, coupled with the talented dancers of Parker Dance, Parker Dance Academy is the dance company setting the standard for success as well as artistic excellence.
