Katie Sullivan named Rotary Student of the Month

Katherine Sulllivan, a senior at Chaparral High School, was awarded as the Rotary Club of Parker's May 2008 Student of the Month.

The award is presented monthly by the Rotary Club of Parker to outstanding students at Chaparral and Ponderosa High Schools.

Sullivan carries a 4.04 GPA and was student body president for the just concluded school year. She is a National Honor Society, DECA and Link Crew member and a three-year letter winner on the Chaparral tennis team.

Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all
vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately
1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 31,000 Rotary clubs located in 166
countries. Rotary's motto is "Service above self."

The Rotary Club of Parker meets every Thursday morning at 6:45 a.m. at The Black Bear Club, 11400 Canterberry Parkway in Parker.
