2007 was a record-breaking year for the
Douglas County Libraries Shakespeare Festival, with nearly 1,750 people participating.
Over 1,260 people attended free professional performances of
Hamlet at Civic Green Park in Highlands Ranch, while hundred of others attended the family-oriented Midsummer Merriment event at Civic Green Park, and Shakespearean events at libraries around the county.
The 6th Annual Douglas County Libraries Shakespeare Festival was made possible by the generous donations of several sponsors: The Metro Districts of Highlands Ranch, Colorado Community Newspapers, the Gay and Lesbian Fund for Colorado, the Douglas County Libraries Foundation, the Highlands Ranch Community Association, the Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association, Canon Catering, Frederic Printing, LMC Solutions, Red Rocks Credit Union, Muir and Associates, Andy & Susan O'Brien, IREA, Edward & Andrea Milstein/Red Lightning Ranch, Rosemary Metzler, Midas of Castle Rock and Qdoba Mexican Grill.
Douglas County Libraries and the Douglas County Libraries Foundation will offer several special events sponsorships in 2008 for the Shakespeare Festival, and several other special events.
The Douglas County Libraries Shakespeare Festival, and other library special events, are highly rewarding opportunities for sponsors. In addition to the satisfaction and prestige of supporting exceptional cultural events, provided free of charge to the community, sponsors receive a significant amount of public acknowledgement and publicity.
Sponsorships are available at several levels, starting at the $100 level. Douglas County Libraries is also need of in-kind sponsorships and donated services.
