Four Schools and Four Years Later: A College Grad
On 5/12/2007
Contributed by: Nora Ami on 5/17/2007

Claire Ami, a 2003 Chaparral High School graduate, earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University at commencement ceremonies on May 12, 2007. Claire was granted a degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Social Sciences, a minor in Sociology and an Environmental Affairs certification. Even though her journey to earn a college degree took her to four different schools and through three changes of major, Claire's dedication to graduating in four years never wavered. In addition to CSU, she also attended the University of Northern Colorado, Arapahoe Community College and Adams State College.

While at CSU Claire was actively involved in leadership activities including serving as a residence hall government Senator and residence hall floor representative at three different halls. She worked as a Ram Welcome orientation team member, campus tour guide, dining services student liaison and front desk assistant at two residence halls.

Inspired by her own educational experiences Claire says, "I would like to help the next generation of college students to find their own personal 'fit' as they embark on the college experience." She hopes to pursue a career in Higher Education administration.
