My name is
Kenda Burkhart
and I recently graduated with an M.A. with honors from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. My major was international relations, and I focused my studies on issues related to terrorism in the Middle East and politics and development in Asia. Towards the end of my studies I also became extremely interested in issues related to energy and its effect on international security. During my final year I wrote a 30 page dissertation entitled
Energy and Security: Towards Conflict or Cooperation?
While in St. Andrews, I also founded a company called Model Caddies which has since recieved considerable press internationally. We employ current and former models who have been professionally trained to caddie at corporate golf events and for tour groups golfing in Scotland. I have now left the business in control of another manager so that I could return to the U.S. to pursue an energy related career. At some point in the future I may attempt to replicate the model I established in the UK in the United States and start the business up either in California, Florida, or Arizona.
Currently I am living in the San Francisco Bay area and am interviewing for jobs in the energy industry. I was here for four months while I was finishing up my dissertation and am anxious to start a career in an energy related field.
My family still resides in Parker, where my dad owns his own business, Tech Instrumentation, and my mom is a physical education for Cherry Creek Schools. I also have a sister attending the University of Colorado, who will graduate in 2008.

Wow. I am just-- speechless. You have done so very much. Your own business? Model Caddies sounds like a lot of fun. Please keep us updated.
