The Town of Parker is pleased to announce that acting Finance Director Mike Farina has accepted the permanent position of Finance Director for the Town of Parker.

"I am very excited to have been selected as the Finance Director for the Town of Parker," said Farina. "I thank Jeannene for giving me the opportunity to provide the Town with financial leadership and look forward to continuing the great working relationship that I've enjoyed with her, the Department Directors and Town Council this past year. I also want to thank the Finance Department staff for their hard work and support during this long transition period."

Farina has served as the acting finance director since August of 2005. Prior to his promotion, Farina worked as the Town's Accounting Manager for nine years.

"I'm delighted to make Mike an ongoing member of our executive management team," said Town Administrator Jeannene Bragg. "He has done a great job as Acting Finance Director for nearly a year and has my confidence that he will continue to provide excellent leadership on financial matters to the Town in the future."

Farina holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of New Mexico and has been a CPA since 1994. Prior to working for the Town, Farina was an Accounting Supervisor for Northern New Mexico Community College and also served as an auditor and tax preparer for a small public accounting firm in New Mexico.
