Sara Walla, 25, of Highlands Ranch was appointed Community Affairs Coordinator for the town of Parker on Nov. 14.  She said that her background includes work with government entities and she graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. with a major in journalism and a focus in public relations.

"In college, I was the editor for the entertainment section of the university newspaper and had internships for a community college and a public utility. I was previously employed as a marketing coordinator for an engineering firm. My expertise includes writing, graphic design, and media relations," said Walla.

She said she lived in Parker for a year before she and her husband Chris, 25 moved to Highlands Ranch. "I miss the small town feel of Parker, and the ability to find whatever you need - shops, restaurants, etc. right around the corner," she said. 

She and Chris were married this past August.
