Troop 88's 'NEWEST-OLDEST' Scout(er)!
Contributed by: joe skalisky on 9/12/2006

Troop 88 has a new Scout(er)! Mr. Willard Mount has joined Parker Boy Scout Troop 88 and enjoyed meeting the boys and leaders at their Court of Honor on Sunday, Sept. 10 where he participated in the devouring of a 203 pound pig, now that's a pig roast! But the real news is: Mr. Mounts is 91 years young (the Boy Scout organization is only 99 years old and will be celebrating their 100 year anniversary in London, England in 2007). The Scouts and their families were in awe as Mr. Mounts told of his 78 years in Scouting, yes, 78 years! 32 of those years were as a Scoutmaster in Denver. Needless to say, Mr. Mounts is now Troop 88's new Historian. We will be running a feature story on Mr. Mounts in a future yourhub article....but if you can't wait, please call Troop 88 Scoutmaster, Joe Skalisky@ 303-805-0337 or attend our Troop meeting. Troop 88 meets every Tuesday evening at 6:30PM at the Parker Presbyterian Church (PEPC) at 9100 E. Parker Road (up east Main Street just past Canterberry). Please come and see the fun we have and the good things Troop 88 does in the community.
