For dreamers of all ages: Fantasy Fest 2006

All dressed up with nowhere to go? Exercise your flare for the fantastic at the Sixth Annual Douglas County Libraries Fantasy Fest , 6 to 10 p.m. on Nov. 3 at Highlands Ranch Library (9292 Ridgeline Boulevard, 303-791-7703).

Fantasy Fest is a free celebration of science fiction and fantasy, serving up otherworldly delights for dreamers of all ages:

6 to 7 pm and 8 to 10 pm: Booksigning with Sci-Fi/Fantasy Authors Kevin Anderson(recent bestsellers include Hunters of Dune and Of Fire and Night,) & Rebecca Moesta (co-authored Crystal Doors with Anderson).
6 to 8 pm: Costume Contests for Children, Teens & Adults
6 to 9 pm: Games; Crafts; Face Painting
6 to 10 pm: Living Chess Match; Art & Writing Contest Gallery; Fantastical Food; Library Card Sign-Ups; Fun Freebies
6:30 to 8 pm: Henna Temporary Body Art
6:30 to 7:15 pm and 8:30 to 9:15 pm: "Magic Book" Interactive Storytelling with Marta Barnard
7 to 8 pm: Meet Sci-Fi/Fantasy Authors Kevin Anderson & Rebecca Moesta
7:30 to 8:15 pm: The Juggling Jester's Magical Adventure Show
8:15 pm: Costume Contest Winners Announced
8:30 to 9:30 pm: Anime Drawing Class

The event is free and no registration is required. Fantasy Fest is made possible, in part, with generous help from the Wildlife Experience and Cañon Catering. Douglas County Libraries is online at www.DouglasCountyLibraries.org.
