Contributed by: Kristin Hayek on 5/8/2008

Parker Library (10851 S. Crossroads Drive) is offering a two-part AARP driver's safety and refresher course from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 21 for drivers age 50 and older. Attendance is required both days to complete the class and potentially qualify for insurance rate discounts. A $10 fee applies and registration is required. To book your spot, stop by your library, call 303-791-READ, or visit the Programs & Events calendar at DouglasCountyLibraries.org.

This is a classroom refresher especially designed to meet the needs of older drivers. It covers age-related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, rules of the road, local driving problems and license renewal requirements.
