Conversations in Art
Contributed by: Jennifer Pavlik on 5/15/2008

Join us for a presentation about the Impressionists by artist, Kris Iltis, Thursday, May 29, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Parker Library (10851 South Crossroads Drive, 303-791-READ, DouglasCountyLibraries.org). Kris will discuss how artists are informed and influenced by the works of both their predecessors and their contemporaries. She will conclude by illustrating and discussing her own work and influence. No registration required.

Kris Iltis paints and teaches in her studio in Parker, Colorado. Her award-winning paintings are included in private and corporate collections across the country. During her career, Kris has worked as an education coordinator for the Indianapolis Museum of Art and as a docent at the Denver Art Museum, all while producing her own artwork in various media. Her involvement in art, both as an educator and as an artist, gives Kris an insider's perspective as she interprets and discusses painting.
