'Images of Parker' call for artists

The Parker Cultural Commission has scheduled its 2008 Images of Parker art exhibition for Aug. 15 to Sept. 5 at the Parker Mainstreet Center, located at 19650 E. Mainstreet in downtown Parker.

This show has been a community favorite since it debuted in 1994. Professional, amateur, and student artists are invited to submit up to two pieces of two or three dimensional artwork that reflects the vision or spirit of the Town of Parker, the state of Colorado, and/or the West.

Eligible media are oil/acrylic, pastel, water media, drawing/printmaking, multidimensional, photography/digital, and mixed media. Artwork may be abstract or representational and contributing artists do not have to reside in Parker. There is no entry fee for this show.

Artists interested in submitting entries into the show should plan to bring their pieces to the Mainstreet Center on Tuesday, Aug. 5 or Wednesday, Aug. 6.
