The Douglas County Libraries Summer Reading Program is drawing to a close. Children, teens, and adults have until Sunday, July 13 to register for the free program. Adults ages 18 and older, who read four books and return their completed logs by July 27, will get a pedometer.
Teens ages 10 to 18, who read for 18 hours, win a pass to Elitch Gardens Theme Park. Kids ages 12 and under, who read for 12 hours will receive a champion yard pennant and a pass to Elitch Gardens. Pre-readers can listen to books read aloud.
And kids, don't forget to display your champion yard pennant to show the whole neighborhood you're a reading champion! Prizes are not guaranteed and only available while supplies last. Participants, who complete the reading program by July 27, will be entered in a Grand Prize drawing for a $50 gift card for Dick's Sporting Goods.
Registration is required for the "Championship Summer" Reading Program. Just stop by the library, call 303-791-READ, or visit our website at
