Hawksbead takes town's first dodgeball tourney

It's no secret over the past few years that Dodgeball is making a comeback.

The Parker Recreation Department hosted their first adult tournament and team "Hawksbead" was declared the winner at the Parker Fieldhouse on Friday, July 11.Twelve teams entered the free tournament with "Superfriends" and "Average Joes" taking a beating for second and third places respectively.

The 2008 Dodgeball Tournament was played in conjunction with the Parker Recreation Department's Customer Appreciation week held July 7 to 12.

Due to the tremendous success of this event, the Parker Recreation Department is looking at starting up a league for the fall/winter, beginning in September. The league would include eight games and a tournament.
