Volunteers needed for Barker Days
Contributed by: Town of Parker on 8/6/2008

The Parker Recreation Department is gearing up for another great Barker Days event on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and we are looking for a few brave souls to help us out. With all the happy dogs running around, there are bound to be a few... um... accidents!

We are currently looking for about a dozen volunteers to assist throughout the day to clean up unintended messes, help with crowd control, answer basic questions and perform other general duties. This is a perfect opportunity for a civic group or service organization to work together and make a difference keeping our parks clean and to make this event a huge success.

Interested parties can contact Brett Haydin at 303.805.3264 or by email at bhaydin@parkeronline.org. Volunteers will be provided a lunch, exclusive t-shirt and our heartfelt thanks! We look forward to your participation!

Barker Days will feature a temporary dog park in the O'Brien Park ball field and H2O'Brien Pool, dog demonstrations, contests and dog-related vendors.
