Please join us as we take the first steps toward a more literate community. The Literacy Department at Douglas County Libraries is hosting a literacy summit on Friday, September 19 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Philip S. Miller Library (100 S. Wilcox St., Castle Rock). The goals of this event include developing a network of literacy providers and programs, and creating a steering committee of community members. We want to make Douglas County a hub for lifelong learning and literacy. The Director of Douglas County Libraries, Jamie LaRue, will give a welcome address, which will be followed by a panel conversation with community members. Breakfast will be served.
Registration is required. To book your spot, R.S.V.P to Literacy Specialist Molly Elkins at melkins@dclibraries.org or call 303-688-7646
