This fall, Parker Library (10851 South Crossroads Drive) is featuring a series of Salons Civiques focused on controversial or otherwise hot election issues. On Tuesday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m., this engaging discussion will focus on the topic that is on everyone's mind: the national economy. Bring your friends, neighbors, and colleagues for the final installment of this exciting series.
The facilitator for this discussion will be Highlands Ranch resident, Jack Buffington, author of
An Easy Out: Corporate America's Addiction to Outsourcing. Buffington's second book,
The Death of Management: Restoring Value in the U.S. Economy, is due out in early 2009. Buffington also writes for
CHaINA, the first English language magazine dedicated to covering global supply-chain issues from a Chinese perspective.
He is also the current director of supply chain logistics for Molson Coors Brewing Company and serves on the board of the University of Denver's MBA program.
