Police blotter- smoker struck

RANGER REPORTS GRAFFITI
Sheridan Police responded to a report of graffiti on May 7 on the 3300 block of West Oxford Avenue. A park ranger with the South Suburban parks district told the officer that he found graffiti in the restroom and on the tennis court at the Sheridan Pavilion. The information was passed on to the graffiti task force.

SMOKER STRUCK
A man was issued a summons for harassment on the 4300 block of Lowell Boulevard on May 7. A woman told the officer she was standing in a food line at a church smoking a cigarette when a man asked her to put out the cigarette because she is "killing people." The woman refused and the man tried to swipe the cigarette out of her mouth but hit her face instead. The man was released at the scene.

BEER STOLEN
Sheridan Police responded to a report of theft at a store on the 4000 block of South Federal Boulevard. A clerk told the officer a woman came into the store and walked to the back of the beer cooler. When the woman left the clerk noticed an empty beer holder near the cooler. The clerk confronted the woman who denied taking any beer and left the store. The clerk told police the same woman was in the store earlier that day when another six-pack went missing.

CAR BROKEN INTO
A woman told Sheridan Police on May 11 someone broke into her parked car on the 3400 block of South Canosa Court and removed the faceplate of her stereo and disconnected her battery cables. Sheridan police no suspects at the time of the report.
