Police blotter: Search turns up marijuana

SEARCH TURNS UP MARIJUANA

At about 10 p.m. May 10, an officer pulled over a motorist for a defective license plate lamp while driving near Pine Lane and Jordan Road. The 21-year-old driver told the officer all three of his passengers are under age and there was beer in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a glass smoking pipe and a baggie of marijuana. He was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The 21-year-old and the passengers were released on-scene.

MAN PROHIBITED FROM DRINKING
At about 1:30 a.m. May 10, an officer observed a man walking on the side of Keystone Boulevard near Lincoln Avenue.A background check on the 23-year-old revealed he was the subject of an active restraining order which prevented him from consuming alcohol. He was arrested and transported to Douglas County Jail.
