Reported by Parker Police

DRIVER THROWS KEYS IN FLOWER BED

An officer pulled over a motorist for speeding on the 10700 block of South Parker Road at about 10:30 p.m. June 15. The initial officer was unable to pull directly behind the GMC Yukon, so another officer located and followed the vehicle into the parking lot of McDonald's, 10950 S. Parker Road. The driver was seen exiting the vehicle and escorting his passenger inside the restaurant. The driver, a 22-year-old Parker man, threw his car keys into a flower bed outside McDonald's and later claimed he was not the driver. The 22-year-old was pacing back and forth, rubbing his pants pocket. A search revealed a small wooden box containing a smoking pipe and trace amount of marijuana. Two more pipes were found inside the vehicle. The driver was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

TEEN ARRESTED FOR MARIJUANA
Police responded to an area on the 19700 block of Rosewood Court at about 7:30 p.m. June 15 on a report of drug activity. Police contacted an 18-year-old Aurora man who admitted to smoking marijuana. He surrendered a glass smoking pipe. He also smelled like alcohol and admitted to drinking two beers. A background check revealed he was the subject of a restraining order prohibiting him from consuming alcohol. He was arrested without incident.
