SLIDING DOOR SMASHED
At about 10 p.m. July 14, an officer responded to a residence on the 11300 block of Mesa Verde Way on a report of criminal mischief. A 41-year-old man said he was sitting on his couch watching TV when he heard a loud noise. Apparently someone had shattered the back glass sliding door of house. The man said he heard no gunshots and found no trace of the object that broke the window. He estimated the damage to the door to be about $500.

DRIVER ADMITS HE SHOULDN'T BE DRIVING
An officer pulled over a motorist for weaving and nearly hitting a raised median while driving on Parker Road near Lincoln Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. July 13. The driver, a 20-year-old Centennial man, smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot, watery eyes. The driver reportedly said, "I am drunk. I know I shouldn't be driving. I'm pretty sure I'm screwed." Police later found marijuana inside the vehicle. After failing voluntary roadside maneuvers, the driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, underage drinking and possession of marijuana.
