Police blotter: Officer bitten by dog

OFFICER BITTEN BY DOG
Police cited a 36-year-old Parker man for keeping a vicious dog after an officer was bitten on the arm while investigating a report of a dog at large July 21. The officer saw two dogs in the yard of a home on the 17000 block of Paoli Way. One of the dogs bit the officer's arm as she approached, but did not break the skin. Douglas County animal control was called, and the owner was issued a summons.

TOOLS STOLEN FROM CONSTRUCTION SITE
Deputies investigated the theft of tools valued at $3,540 from a home under construction on the 8400 block of Nugget Court in Sedalia reported July 15. An Aurora contractor working at the site reported a tool chest and variety of tools were stolen between 5 p.m. July 14 and 8:30 a.m. July 15. A basement window was broken to gain entry, according to the report.

WIRING STOLEN
Deputies investigated the theft of wiring from a home under construction on the 4300 block of Cedar Point Place in Highlands Ranch, reported July 21. Between May 5 and 2:40 p.m. July 21, someone removed the wiring from three bedrooms, a living room, laundry room and entryway. The wiring was valued at $1,600.

MORE CONSTRUCTION SITE THEFT
A tile saw valued at $3,000 was stolen from a home under construction on the 4700 block of Bandera Place in Parker between 7 p.m. July 18 and 7 a.m. July 19. Deputies said damage to door jambs in the break-in was estimated at $1,500. The same home previously had wiring stolen from it, according to the report.

ELECTRONICS STOLEN FROM HOME
Sheriff's deputies investigated a burglary at a home on the 700 block of East Stowe Street in Highlands Ranch reported July 19. A resident said between 7:50 and 9:35 p.m., someone broke a window on the west side of the home with a rock and stole a 42-inch plasma television, notebook computer and an iPod valued at a total of $3,230. Damage to the window was estimated at $100.

COPPER WATER DEVICES STOLEN
Deputies received a report of the theft of copper backflow preventers from a construction site on the 10500 block of Lexington Drive on July 17. Between 4 p.m. July 15 and 6 a.m. July 16, someone stole two of the devices from separate locations at the site. They were valued at $1,300.

SATELLITE RADIO STOLEN
Deputies investigated the theft of a satellite radio from Profiles Fitness Center, 2461 Cactus Bluff Place in Parker on July 21. Between 10 p.m. July 20 and 5 a.m. July 21, someone stole the radio from the business. There were no signs of forced entry, according to the report.
