Man In Park Gets Arrested
At 1 a.m., on Sept. 23, an officer observed a man at O'Brien Park, 10795 Victorian Drive. The officer told the man the park closed at 11 p.m. The man told the officer that he was waiting for a ride. After running the man's identification card through dispatch, the officer discovered he had a felony warrant out of DouglasCounty. The officer searched the man for weapons, and found a box cutter. The man told the officer that he worked as a box boy at Wal-Mart. Also on the man, was a plastic bag suspected of containing marijuana. The man was taken into custody.
DUI Arrest
On Sept. 23, at 11:15 p.m., an officer responded to a traffic stop at the intersection of Parker Road and Indian Pipe Road.
When the officer spoke to the driver, he noticed the driver strongly smelled of alcohol. The driver admitted to drinking three beers at Vines restaurant, 19501 Mainstreet, Parker. The driver had a passenger in her car. Officers told the driver to exit the car and it was apparent the driver had difficulty walking to the rear of the car. After agreeing to complete voluntary roadside maneuvers, the driver failed. The driver was transported to the Parker Police Department where she performed a breath test.
