Expired license plate leads to warrant arrest
At 8:30 a.m. Oct. 26, an officer en route to a routine patrol of the Ironstone Apartments on the 12800 block of Ironstone Way in Parker observed a silver 1996 Nissan pickup truck with expired license plates. The officer radioed the license number into dispatch, and found that the truck was registered to a 32-year-old man living in the Ironstone Apartment complex.
Dispatch also revealed the registered owner had an outstanding warrant for failure to display proof of insurance at a previous traffic stop. The officer located the man at his apartment and placed him into custody on suspicion of failing to present proof of insurance.
Speeding leads to DUIarrest
At 1:59 a.m. Oct. 26, an officer was performing routine traffic patrol at the intersection of Jordan Road at Cottonwood Drive in Parker, when he saw a white Mitsubishi sedan driving 65 mph in a 40 mph zone.
When he stopped the car, and asked the driver, a 26-year-old man for his license, the man told the officer he was not a licensed driver. When the officer asked the man why he was driving without a license, the man said he was driving his wife because she had too much to drink. The officer noted a distinct odor of alcohol coming from the man.
The man was placed in custody under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Routine stop leads to arrest
At 2:01 a.m. on Oct. 25 at the intersection of Cottonwood Drive and Brompton Way, officers were performing a routine traffic stop when dispatch notified them that the driver, a 24-year-old man, had an active warrant for contempt of court. The man was placed into custody on suspicion of contempt of court and transported him to the Parker Police Department on $300 bond.
