Parker Police: Hit and run doesn't go so far


DOMESTIC DISPUTE LEADS TO ARREST
At 4:24 a.m. May 28, officers were performing an increased patrol in the parking lot of King Soopers, 17031 Lincoln Ave., when they were approached by an employee who told them some people were fighting in a white Ford SUV. Officers located the Ford and spoke to a 19-year-old man who said he just got into an argument with his girlfriend over her job as a stripper. The couple appeared to have resolved the problem, but when officers cleared a friend of the couple, also in the Ford, it was found that the 21-year-old woman had a warrant for failing to appear on a traffic offense.<NO1> Her bond was posted at $3,000. Officers arrested the 21-year-old woman on suspicion of the outstanding warrant.

HIT AND RUN DOESN'T GO SO FAR
At 6:40 p.m. May 28, officers responded to a hit and run in the area of 9031 Apache Plume Drive. Upon arrival, a witness told officers a black Dodge Durango with extensive front-end damage and a radiator leak was involved in the accident. Officers cleared the license plate through dispatch and matched the witness descriptions of the driver to an 18-year-old man found on the north side of the building. The man admitted to being involved in the accident<NO1> and told officers he turned into his building where he saw a man flinch<NO>. He said he was scared and had not been drinking or under the influence of drugs while driving. Upon clearing the man through dispatch, officers learned he had a canceled driver's license. Officers arrested the 18-year-old on suspicion of driving without a valid license.
