Parker Police: Come on up if you have a warrant


COME ON UP, IF YOU HAVE A WARRANT
At 8 p.m. June 13, officers were approached by a 22-year-old man in the beer garden area of the Parker Country Festival, who asked them if they were interested in someone who had a warrant. The man told officers his 22-year-old brother had a warrant. The man gave a physical description of the 22-year-old man and officers were able to contact him at a food stand just north of the intersection of Mainstreet and Pikes Peak Drive. They positively identified the man as having three felony warrants for escape and burglary. Officers struggled to detain the man, but were able to arrest him.

SCRAPING PENNIES FOR SCRAPBOOKING
At 4 p.m. June 14, a 42-year-old woman was observed in the scrapbook section of Hobby Lobby, 10901 S. Parker Road, putting items into her purse. A 58-year-old store manager at the store, told officers he saw the woman head to the the checkout counter and pay for some of the items. When she approached the exit, she saw members of management blocking the exit and went back to the scrapbooking department where she returned the items from her purse. The manager approached her and she admitted to taking the items because she did not have enough money for them. Officers issued her a summons on suspicion of theft. Total value of the stolen items was estimated to be $114.44.
