Parker Police: Crooked headlights lead to arrest

FAILING TO STOP LEADS TO ARREST
At 12:58 a.m. July 20, officers were patrolling red-light violations in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Jordan Road. A red sedan heading southbound on Jordan Road turned westbound on Lincoln Avenue failing to stop at a clearly visible red traffic light. Officers initiated a traffic stop, and upon clearing the 24-year-old driver through dispatch, it was found he had a misdemeanor warrant out of Greenwood Village for failing to appear on a traffic offense. There was also an outstanding bond for $400. The man was arrested on suspicion of the outstanding warrant.

EXPIRED LICENSE PLATE LEADS TO ARREST
At 8:25 a.m. July 17, officers were patrolling the area of Parker Road and Plaza Drive when they observed a gray Ford pickup with an expired license plate. Officers initiated a traffic stop at Big O Tires, 10431 Parkglenn Way. Upon clearing the driver, a 33-year-old man, through dispatch, officers learned he was driving with a revoked license. There was also several more active driving restraints against the man. Officers arrested the driver on suspicion of driving with a revoked license.

CROOKED HEADLIGHTS LEAD TO ARREST
At 11:34 a.m. July 18, officers observed a car traveling eastbound on Cottonwood Drive. Since officers were traveling in the opposite direction, they observed one headlamp on the car pointing downward towards the street, while the other headlamp was pointing upward away from the street. When officers turned to follow the vehicle, they observed that the vehicle's license plate lamp was not illuminated properly. They initiated a traffic stop and while speaking to the car's driver, a 28-year-old man, officers observed he was very paranoid. The driver said that if he got another ticket, he'd have to go back to prison for three years. Officers asked the man why he'd go back to prison, and the man admitted he was driving under a revoked driver's license. He also asked officers if they could just give him a warning and let him walk home. Officers ran the man's Texas driver's license and Colorado Identification card through dispatch and found that he was driving under restraint. The man was arrested on suspicion of driving under restraint and with a revoked license.
