Parker Police: Video games cause complaint

Video games cause complaint. A 19-year-old man was surprised to receive a summons for a noise violation Aug. 3 after playing his game console at his home on the 19200 block of Cottonwood Drive. The man said the game can get loud and resemble music, but he said he did not receive a warning from the apartment's management. He also said the neighbors did not voice a concern, and if he knew the noise was a disturbance, he would have been sure to keep it down. The man was issued a summons for disturbing the peace.

Argument leads to unrelated arrest. At 9:53 a.m. Aug. 2, officers were dispatched to a home on the 19100 block of Applewood Court, in reference to a possible domestic violence call. A 19-year-old woman told officers she and her boyfriend got into an argument about financial problems, but were headed to a relatives house to talk things out. Officers asked the woman for identification, at which point the woman could only verbally give officers her full name, date of birth, address and phone number. While running the woman's name through dispatch, officers discovered she had an active warrant out of Adams County for contempt of court. Officers asked the woman if she had received a ticket recently, and the woman said she had, but thought everything had been taken care of. Officers arrested the woman on suspicion of the active warrant.

Broken headlight leads to arrest. A 28-year-old Denver man was driving through the intersection of Jordan Road and Bradbury Ranch Drive at 8:35 p.m. Aug. 1, when officers stopped him for a broken headlight. Upon clearing the man's driver's license through dispatch, officers learned he had an outstanding warrant out of Summit County for contempt of court. The man also had a bond of $1,000. Officers arrested the man.
