PRESERVATION RESOURCES NOW ON-LINE

Historic Denver announced today that Denver's prime online historic preservation resource has been redesigned for ease of navigation and information-gathering and the new web site, www.historicdenver.org is the "go-to" site for current Denver preservation news, issues, and resources.

As Historic Denver's flagship property, the Molly Brown House Museum also has a new web site that offers resources for visitors, locals and students. The new Museum site is accessible at www.mollybrown.org and includes a completely updated photo gallery of the home's iconic interiors, as well as links to history-related activities, events and programs.

"Local residents count on Historic Denver to protect and preserve the landmarks of Denver's past two centuries, and now we can keep you informed and current in 21st century style at both the Historic Denver site and the new Molly Brown House site," Heather Quiroga, Communications Director for Historic Denver, said.

Both web sites include an online book store with the full series of Historic Denver Walking Guides, as well as an on-line version of the Museum Store, complete with Molly Brown Souvenirs, biographical resources and Titanic collectibles. Visitors can even choose to become a Historic Denver member with the push of a button, or support the stewardship of Denver's irreplaceable historic resources by making a donation.

About Historic Denver

As one of the nation's premier non-profit urban historic preservation organizations, Historic Denver, Inc. works to maintain the integrity of the historic neighborhoods that make Denver unique. Through grant funds and easement donations, Historic Denver has invested over $20 million dollars into our community and neighborhoods. Founded to save the Molly Brown House from demolition in 1970, Historic Denver continues to operate the museum as well as programs for owners of historic homes, a Sacred Landmarks Preservation Program and a heritage tourism program called Denver Story Trek. Almost four decades into our journey, Historic Denver continues to advocate for Denver's identity as a city that remembers and respects its past as it plans for the future.
