House of haunts for children

Dawn Buchart, president of the Parker Arts Council, and Stephen Haynes, 17, arts council intern, test the sound effects of a skull last week at Victorian Peaks Business Center. The art council is sponsoring a haunted house for kids and has spent the last couple of weeks setting it up.

The arts council is holding a Children's Halloween Haunt from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31 at Victorian Peaks Business Center, 11020 S. Pikes Peak Drive. Admission is $1 for children and $2 for adults.
