All Douglas County schools are closed again today. The following message is from the district's Web site:

After taking into consideration the safety of the walk and transportation routes to schools, all Douglas County schools, including preschools, childcare, and before-school activities, are closed on Friday, Oct. 30. We had crews monitoring streets and safety conditions throughout the night and sidewalks and bus stops have not been cleared sufficiently to ensure an adequate level of safety for students to travel to school. The safety of each of our students is our priority as we make these decisions. A decision on after-school activities will be made and posted by noon.
