Coroner releases identity of man found in river

The Douglas County Coroner has identified the body of a white male found in the South Platte River on Dec. 8.

The man has been identified as Spencer Dillon, 63, of Green Mountain Falls. Next of kin was located in Arizona and notified Dec. 11.

The cause of death is still pending final autopsy and toxicology results. The Coroner reports that there were no obvious wounds to indicate any type of foul play.

Detectives are still in the process of determining why Dillon was in the area.
