Nine candidates are running for three Parker Town Council seats. Parker Town Council has six members plus the mayor. Mayor
David Casiano is running unopposed.

10:10 p.m.//Time to celebrate
Preliminary results show Gary Lasater, Lisa Coe and Mike Waid claiming the three town council seats. "I'm excited," Mike Waid said. He said he and his wife plan to pick up a bottle of champagne and celebrate at home with his family.
8:55 p.m.//Gary Lasater stops in
Sporting a Town of Parker sweatshirt, town council member
Gary Lasater has stopped by to say hello and shake some hands. A council incumbent, the latest numbers show him leading the town council race by about 400 votes.
"It's humbling to realize people have confidence in what I have done," Lasater said. "It's still brings a tear to the eye and a lump to the throat."
He added, "When it's all over, hopefully I will still be in the top three."
Lasater said he plans to return to a party up the street where his family is.

Parker mayor David Casiano has arrived at the Warhorse and is making the rounds. One man in attendance said, "Hey Mayor! Now we know who is in charge."

"The best part has been getting more involved with the community," he said.
He chuckled as he recalled that the other day, he and his wife,
Pam, were out walking the other day when they ran into a woman who said, "It's you! I voted for you!"
He said overall, running for town council has been a positive experience. Waid's parents came from New Mexico to watch the results and his sons are sporting "My Dad for Town Council" T-shirts.

Two energetic people spotted waving signs for Gary Lasater at Chambers Road and Lincoln Avenue on the way into Parker.
