My name: Trace L. Kaker
Age: I am 40 years old.
My family: I have a great husband (
Brad) and Three boys (
Cody, Alexander and
Jonathan)
What I do: I am an attorney who practices in my own small firm in Parker.
My favorite place in town to hang out: I have many favorite places in town, with three boys I do not have much time to "hang out" but when we do it is usually in a Park or on the trails. O'Brien Park is a great place in the evenings.
My interests and hobbies: I love to read and camp.
What is my favorite thing to cook: I like to cook when we are camping, pretty much anything. But I especially like to try new things on the campfire to see if I can get them to turn out.
People who inspired me (and how): The founders of this country, like
John Adams and
Ben Franklin have inspired me since high school for having the ability to start this nation off on the right foot, with theories and ideals that would stand the test of time.
How I have contributed to the community: My community involvement is best shown through my previous work on Town Council. I have also been involved with the Parker Chamber and children's sports. At times I have donated my services to some non-profits in the community.
What are the biggest issues facingcommunity now: The community needs to focus on what we can do for both the elderly and the youth. Our downtown area needs a plan to keep it nice and quaint but yet viable for the businesses that are there. When an area grows as much as Northern Douglas County we need to keep up on planning and road projects so we do not get too far behind.
