Downtown Mainstreet will be closed from Victorian Drive to Victorian Drive on Friday, Aug. 24 from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. because of a town production that will be filming on the street at that time.
Traffic will still be able to get through to Parker Road by taking the Victorian Drive loop, but drivers are encouraged to take different routes to avoid delays.
There are several different options available to avoid using Mainstreet as a commuter route. Residents on the east side of town can take Pine Drive to Lincoln Avenue, which connects west to I-25.
These residents can also take Pine Drive to Lincoln Avenue to Parker Road, which connects to E-470 on the north. Another alternative is to use Hilltop Road to connect to Dransfeldt Road or Twenty Mile Road, both of which go through to Lincoln Avenue.
We apologize for an inconvenience this closure may cause. For more information, call 303-841-0353 or e-mail swalla@parkeronline.org.
