Chapparal girls advance to semifinals

The Chaparral girls pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat upstart Overland 58-49 in the Class 5A quarterfinals March 8 at the Denver Coliseum.

Up 34-32 going into the fourth quarter, the Wolverines exploded for 24 points in the final period.

Chaparral will face Regis in the semifinals at 8:30 p.m. March 12 at the Coors Events Center in Boulder.
