Parker Sky Sox win Summer Slam tournament
Contributed by: Winston Rast on 6/12/2008

The 8 year old Parker Sky Sox baseball team won the Triple Crown Summer Slam tournament held June 7-8 at Highline Park in Aurora. The win gives them their second tournament championship of the season, the first being the Triple Crown Baseball Bash in April.

"We fell behind early in a couple of games," head coach Winston Rast said, "but the team responded and came back strong. Everyone contributed to the victory."

Their opponents included teams from across the greater Denver metro area, including Highlands Ranch, Lakewood, and Fort Collins. In July the team will compete in the Colorado State Championship tournament and will also travel to Steamboat Springs for the Triple Crown World Series.
